February 15th, 2008It’s the time of the year where guys stand around, trying not to look too stupid holding flowers and even soft toy bears. They try not to stare at their watches too often while waiting for their intended. Then, after the girl has arrived (late of course: you’d hardly see girls waiting for the guys on this day and the guys wouldn’t dare to be late), they would march and parade down the streets, all smug and pleased and basking in the soft glow of true love.

Do I sound bitter? I only do if you think that’s what I really want, what I’ve been living for. Do I really want a) rapidly wilting flowers that would cost 10 times less the next day (I’d rather take the cash) or b) soft toy bears that would give me a rash almost instantly? You get the point.
I’m curious though: How do 2 people (of usually differing heights) walk/parade/march while 1. they are holding each other by the waist, 2. the girl is holding the flowers in her one free hand, and 3. the guy is holding her (”is it fake?”) LV or Gucci bag with his one free hand.
Like I said: it’s a curious sight.
